We picked up this 1984 Honda NightHawk 750 a little while back for a pretty decent price for a little side project to do in our "spare" time, of which we have none. The Nighthawk was perfectly capable of running just how it was with a little carb work and a new battery, but that is just not the "Wild Bunch" way. We decided that stripping the bike down, powder coating the frame, and going all out custom on the bike with new paint and LED's would be the right thing to do in our situation. Here are a few pics of the project thus far. Although it is not yet finished, we are getting there in all of our "spare" time. Follow along for the complete build as it happens and is on the road!
Above is what we started with, a complete bike.
After the complete breakdown of the bike, we separated out every nut, bolt, and piece into boxes and prepped the frame and swingarm pieces for powder coat as seen below. We decided to go ahead and go with the "silver vain" powder coat pattern because, well shoot, it just looks awesome!
Well that's as far as we have gotten as of now. Follow our blog or our facebook page to stay up to date on our build. We sure can't wait to finish it and get it on the road hopefully sometime this month!
